How to Contribute

Voogle will initially be exclusively collecting data exported from Google Timeline. In order to export and contribute your Timeline data, ensure that Timeline is turned on in Google Maps, and that your device's location services are set to "always". You can export your Timeline data from within the Google Maps app on iOS or from your device's location from your device's location settings on Android. Export the data as JSON and upload it to our contribution portal to be instantly rewarded in $VANA.

Timeline data can only be retrieved from devices with location tracking enabled. Follow these steps to retrieve your Timeline data:

For iOS devices

1. Open the Google Maps app
2. Tap your profile picture in the upper right corner and select "Your timeline"
3. Select the three-dot menu button in the upper right corner and select "Location & privacy settings"
4. Select "Export Timeline data" and choose your desired export location.
5. Upload your exported data using our contribution interface and receive your $VANA

For Android devices

1. Open Android "System Settings"
2. Navigate to "Location" and then "Location Services"
3. Select "Timeline"
4. Select "Export Timeline data" and choose your desired export location.
